Grantham Institute Climate Research Showcase 2025

Join the Grantham Institute’s inaugural Climate Research Showcase on Wednesday, 22 January 2025, where Imperial's research community will come together to exchange ideas, foster collaboration and support effective action on climate change.

From an all-day exhibition and peer-led workshops to seminars and a Special Lecture, the Climate Research Showcase is a space for dialogue and discovery. Participants will have the opportunity to profile their work, engage with renowned climate scientists and connect with the Imperial climate research community though activities designed to spark curiosity and collaboration.

By fostering connections and discussions around pressing environmental challenges, the Climate Research Showcase underscores the Grantham Institute’s commitment to multidisciplinary solutions.

Our colleague Alaa Al Khourdajie (Imperial) will present the IAM COMPACT-related work: Navigating the unexpected: The impact of disruptive events on mitigation scenarios. Our analysis highlights the inherent limitations of IAMs in capturing the full complexity of disruptive events. We are currently exploring methodological approaches to overcome these limitations, within existing IAMs frameworks.
